Under a Glass Moon
As we seek to understand the world around us, the basic need for a system to order and categorize becomes evident.
Natural races are those which occur naturally within the Material Plane’s landscape and which are neither from the Feywild (like elves), the Shadowfell, the Elemental Chaos, nor the Astral Sea. Oddly, races which derive from a natural race may not be classified as natural themselves. Scholars debate endlessly on the classification of races.
Fey are races either originating the Feywild or have a strong enough connection with nature that they express similar supernatural abilities. The language of the fey is called Sylvan. Fae, or faeries, as many like to be called, are creatures of any size, shape, texture, or smell, that exemplify and inhabit natural wonder.
